Plugin Links Collection

Posted by: Jennifer In: WordPress Bookmarks to Plugins

Haven't visited the plugin page on the wiki in a while and found a few plugins I'd like to play with at some point:

PictPress
(as stated on the wiki) : automatically add thumbnails and pictures for all images in a directory when publishing a post.

SnailGallery
create a static gallery of images inside a post.

Comment Moderation auto-switch on older posts
Automatically turns on comment moderation for older posts (good spam prevention – while not turning comments OFF for those posts.)

TalkBalk
This plugin by Shelley allows you to insert links to display all comments by a person(name or url) on your weblog.

Amazon Wishlist
Give it an Amazon wishlist ID, and it will display a random item from your wishlist

ImageManager Plugin
As stated on the wiki: The Image Manager plugin integrates the stand alone PHP ImageManager + Editor with Word Press. (read about the PHP ImageManager here. I'm assuming that it brings that functionality into WordPress?)

Edit Button Template
A template that allows you to add buttons to the quick tag buttons using DOM. (so you don't have to edit core files!)

Hide or Cut Post Text plugin
Make parts of your post only appear on the "permalink page" permanently hide other content.

I was just complaining earlier that it is too difficult to post a picture with WP (I've been spoiled by MT!), so I'm really glad you posted a lot of these links! Thank you so much! Hopefully I'll get time to check them out this weekend!

Christine – I use this plugin (blogged about it here) and LOVE it. It's very simple, very reminiscent of the way MT did uploads. To be honest, I haven't played with these other image handling plugins, because that one has worked perfectly for anything I've needed.

I'm half interested to know how a link to my, recently updated, plugin is on this post – which is dated the 12th – when I updated it on the 25th. Extraordinary ESP you gals have here. :)

Colin – It's not really a big mystery. I just updated the link so it pointed to the latest version of your script. (Why continue to point to something outdated just for date-consistency)

But if you want to think I have ESP – go right ahead. 😉

(I think I need to get or make a "show when post was last updated" plugin. I am often updating older posts. Especially ones that are "script" releases. I've found that to be less messy/confusing than making new posts on top of new posts about the same subject, just to show the "new" date.)
